Wood Duck Family on the Move

Wood ducks nest in tree cavities near freshwater and eat seeds, fruits, insects, and aquatic plants. Territorial during breeding, they form strong pairs, and ducklings leap up to 50 feet from nests. Wood ducks help wetlands by dispersing seeds and controlling insects.
